Reliable Model EX Low Pressure Dry Pipe Valve System

The Reliable Model EX Low Pressure Dry Pipe Valve is hydraulically operated, mechanical latching clapper-type valve. This is designed to be used as a primary control valve in a dry pipe system. Unlike conventional differential style dry valves, the pneumatic system pressure when using the Model EX valve can be set considerably lower. There are multiple benefits of lower pneumatic pressure, these are:

• Less expensive, smaller pneumatic sources
• Water transit times are much improved following operation of the valve, and occasionally, elimination of quick opening devices
• Its lower pressure makes using nitrogen much more practical

As well as these benefits, the mechanical type dry pipe valves are less vulnerable to accidental tripping than a conventional differential dry pipe valve.

• Low air or nitrogen pressure ranging from 8 to 28 psi (0.6 bar to 1.9 Bar)
• Light ductile iron body with a compact trim
• Reduction in setup and commissioning time as it has an external reset
• Priming water is not needed with this product
• You can purchase fully assembled, with or without the control valve
